Nate and I had a fun little adventure when we were dating that I'm excited to share with you! This story is one of my favorite memories of us dating and I hope you'll find a laugh from the little prank we pulled.
We had been dating for a few months when Nate and I had the exciting opportunity to take a day trip to Las Vegas together. We took a short flight in the early afternoon and arrived with just enough time to enjoy a few hours on the strip.
As we were planning out our trip, Nate and I decided that we wanted to have some fun with our friends by tricking them into believing that we had run off and gotten married in Vegas. None of our friends knew that we were going and we wanted to keep it a secret to make the idea of us "eloping" seem legitimate.
As we were walking to the botanical gardens in the Bellagio, there happened to be a Tiffany's in one of the shops along the way. We thought this would be a perfect photo op to have a pretend engagement photo! We figured that anyone who saw the picture without hearing the backstory would assume that I had just purchased an engagement ring from Tiffany's. In reality, though, I had simply slipped on a fake wedding ring that I had brought from home... it was a not-so-innocent photo.
After we had taken the faux engagement ring photo, we asked around and eventually found our way to the wedding chapels at the Bellagio. The receptionist was nice enough to take a picture of us kissing while standing in the front of the chapel. All that was missing was the ceremony officiator and some witnesses!
The responses we got to these photos were pretty funny! Our friends wished us confused congratulations through text messages and phone calls. Don't worry though, we made sure to let our families know in advance what we were planning so they wouldn't see our pictures and think that they missed out on our wedding.
Once our fun little prank had been pulled and friends called us for clarification, we finally admitted that we hadn't actually gotten married. We enjoyed a fun day together making lots of memories and building on a relationship that would ultimately lead us to a real wedding.
I am so grateful for Nate and his sense of humor! We have a lot of fun together and never cease to enjoy laughing with each other on a daily basis.

Hahahaha, I love it!!! You two are hilarious ;)
