Ciao, friends! After the most adventurous 25 days of my life, I am finally home!
Well, I've actually been home for almost a week now, but some things have come up since then that required my attention, so I've been a little bit distracted.
Before I begin writing my next few blog posts on our European adventure, I want to share with you a thought I've had since we've been home.

In my ninth-grade LDS Seminary class I remember flipping through a hymn book and reading the names of each hymn. One hymn title has stuck with me ever since that day: "God Moves in a Mysterious Way". I loved the use of the word "mysterious" when referring to Heavenly Father's purposes. Sometimes things happen in our lives or in the lives of our loved ones that are completely unexpected and sometimes unexplainable, albeit mysterious. Though these experiences tend to be painful, with the right attitude they can also be rich in opportunities to learn and grow. Through trials I have been able to form stronger relationships with my family and with our Savior. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father loves me enough to help me through my trials every day.
I end this post with some beautiful words from a woman I look up to in every way:
I end this post with some beautiful words from a woman I look up to in every way:
“Some of the most heart-wrenching, discouraging events in our lives—from which we long to be set free—are actually designed to prepare us with the very skills and understanding [God] needs us to have. As we draw closer to the Lord and put our total trust in Him, in His power, and in His timing, we can leave our fires of affliction more pure, more refined, and with more skills and understanding."

May Heavenly Father bless you in whatever trials you experience!
